Big Screen Entertainment Announces Start Of Production On New Motion Picture E-mail
Saturday, 14 January 2006

Hollywood, CA - January 15, 2006 - Big Screen Entertainment Group (OTC:BSEG) is proud to announce the start of pre-production on the motion picture, The Mirror, set to commence principal photography in February.

The Mirror is a murder mystery written and directed by BSEG Vice President of Production Stephen Eckelberry. Eckelberry started his twenty year career as an editor and post production supervisor, working on such films as "Buffalo 66" and "Cool World." He then went on to produce the Scarlett Johansson film "My Brother the Pig." Mr. Eckelberry’s directorial debut, "Going Home," won the Golden Plaque at the Chicago International Film Festival. His next film, "First Degree", apremiered at the Austin Film Festival, was nominated for a number of awards on the festival circuit and performed well in both domestic and foreign markets.

David Zappone, BSEG President of Business Affairs stated, “The Mirror is emblematic of our company’s mission to be creator, producer and distributor of entertainment properties from conception to delivery.  This is truly an in-house project from start to finish.”

Senior VP Michael Manasseri added, “We are very excited to be up and running on our next film.  The Mirror received an extremely positive response from potential international buyers at the American Film Market. We will be bringing it to the Cannes International Film Market this May, ready for worldwide delivery.”

Meanwhile, there’s more good news on the international scene for “Dirty Love”, the company’s co-production with Double Down Entertainment.  “The international delivery and distribution process has begun in full force. We believe that Jenny McCarthy and Carmen Electra’s popularity in Europe, Asia and South America will lead to very strong DVD and video sales,” enthused Rosslyn Hornsby, BSEG’s Director of Marketing.  French distribution giant Wild Bunch International is handling international sales, while First Look Media continues its successful distribution of the film in the States.

Also, BSEG has postponed the release of its Burt Reynolds/Raquel Welch project due to arbitration filed by the film’s director.  The ongoing advertising campaign, which includes trailers running in theaters in the Southwest and print ads in magazines and newspapers, has been placed on hold.
