Sam, Carl and Eddie (Burt Reynolds, Robert Loggia and Charles Durning) are three "grumpy old men" making the most out of their modest pensions living in a sleepy desert retirement community. The trio spends most of their time playing golf and vying for the attention of their still sexy neighbor, Chissy DeLee (Raquel Welch).
Their peaceful life is suddenly changed when they stumble across a suitcase buried in the desert…containing $4,000,000…in cash! They agree it may be dangerous to spend the money; but, of course life is short and they’re not getting any younger! So…
Their free-spending ways catch the attention of Nitti, the suspicious character who recently moved into the community.
Everyone is right to be suspicious of Nitti, who is not the retired businessman he claims to be. He is actually an ex-mobster in the witness protection program who stole the $4million from the mob, buried it in the desert and planned on living his own lavish life with the money.
Now, Nitti has to get his money back from the three friends – by any means necessary. The mob has tracked Nitti down, and they’ll also do anything to get their money back. As for the FBI agents on this job – they want in on the action, too!
It’s a thrilling race to the end to see who comes out on top – our three retirees? Nitti, the ex-mobster? Or the FBI?
FORGET ABOUT IT is a fun and exciting ride --- one you won’t soon forget about!
